Mangroves + birds on the rocks... Fascinating to see mangrove roots grow straight out
of coquinas... These stones of sand & various mollusc fragments are porous enough for some
plants to prosper. Notice the little Sandpiper preening under the spread-winged Anhinga.

Certainly Flora had a hand in this arrangement of tender mangroves, bathing during high tide, breathing when it’s low. If left alone, the mangroves will cover it all. Always something for hungry birds like this Green Heron. Spider egg cocoons are visible as white spots on some leaves...
