When Mangrove hotels run short of
space, nature, if left to its devices,
gets creative. Though taken from a somewhat different angle, the center picture documents significant progress after a time leap of about 10 years. Eventually the entire bay
might become one spread-out
mangrove ecosystem...

2 legs make for stronger trees. But
even without dual growth, Red
Mangroves (as well as some other mangrove species) cast supporting
prop roots, mostly from lateral
branches. They in turn embed like tenacious anchors as can be verified
in particular by the image above center
